Information

31-year-old Mirzhan Zhaxylykov debuted on the professional ring in 2008. He boxed at home in Kazakhstan and also in Kyrgyzstan and the USA. In February 2016 he conducted his first bout in Russia and lost to Shavkat Rakhimov in a persistent fight. However in September of the same year Mirzhan won the first title in his career – in a 10-round fight he won non-defeated Rimar Metuda (10-0 for the moment of the bout) from the Philippines and became WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver Super Featherweight Champion.

In November, 2016 Zhaxylykov conducted the first defend of his title, but in a very bright and spectacular bout he lost to promising and non-defeated Mikhail Alexeev ahead-of-time. At the same time it’s worth noting that in the first round Mirzhan Zhaxylykov knocked down his rival twice.

On March, 25 2017 in Pervouralsk in the co-main fight of the evening Russian boxer from Luybertsy Pavel Malikov defended Mirzhan Zhaxylykov and won the WBA Asian title in the weight category up to 61,23 kg. The bout ended already in the second round – by a powerful punch the rival knocked out Mirzhan.
